General information
-
Predominately for Horizontal Vessel applications.
-
Low Gas Oil Ratio (GOR).
-
Operates at High turndowns, slugging, whole field life.
-
Maximum rv2 is 12,000 to 15,000 Pa.
In separation equipment, uniform flow distribution of fluids over the downstream equipment is essential: in gas / liquid separation, to minimise carryover, caused by mal-distribution on the demisting equipment; in liquid / liquid separation, to minimise any mixing and mal-distribution on the coalescing / separation equipment.
To eliminate the potential of droplet shatter and to evenly distribute the fluids in a horizontal separator, where a low to medium GOR exists, the ZPV Inlet Device or "Rainmaker" can be installed on the inlet nozzle.
It should be emphasised that although the ZPV Inlet Device is not a foam free device, it is a very flexible unit for use in a properly designed crude stabilisation system, where foam reduction is important, specially when supplied in conjunction with the correctly designed baffle arrangement.
-
High throughput and inlet momentum.
-
Minimisation of foaming problems.
-
Provides a minimal pressure drop.
-
Reduces any turbulence and / or recircution within the liquid section effectively promoting gravity separation.
-
Maximises utilised inlet volume for degassing.
-
Enhances interface level control.
-
Effectively handles slugs and surges.
-
Wide Operational Range - 100% turndown.
-
Reduces the size of the inlet nozzle on a new build project.
-
Allows a greater fluid throughput for a set nozzle size, in a revamp project.
-
No moving parts thus no maintenance.
